BSc. Ag. Bachelor of Science in Agriculture: Eligibility and Scopes
BSc. Agriculture
The Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, Tribhuvan University (IAAS/TU), and Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) all provide an 8-semester Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSc. Ag.). The 4-year program aims to generate qualified and trained agriculturists in the nation and make globally qualified personnel.
The program’s specific objectives are to build technical proficiency in teaching, research, and extension of the known knowledge in the respective fields. These universities aim to produce highly skilled human resources required to promote education, research, and development in the agriculture sectors.
Eligibility
1 | Applicants must have passed the SLC/SEE exam in the Second Division or with at least a “C” Grade to be eligible for admission. |
2 | Applicants must have got a “C” Grade in each subject and an aggregate C+ (2.4 GPA) in I. Sc. Science, 10+2 (Science), 10+2 (Plant Science/ Animal Science/ Forest Science), I. Sc. Ag., I. Sc. Vet., I. Sc. Forestry to face the entrance examination of BSc. Ag. Program. |
3 | Applicants must have completed at least 50 full marks in Mathematics and Physics, as well as 100 full marks in Biology, Chemistry, and English, to be eligible for the entrance examination. |
4 | The examinee must secure at least 50% entrance exam score. |
Course Duration: 4 years, 8-semesters
