Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (BSc. Fisheries)

 

Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (BSc. Fisheries) is a recently added program in Nepal which is only offered by the Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), overseen by the Veterinary Department of Agriculture and Forestry University, AFU, Rampur, Chitwan. The management, conservation, processing, and marketing of fish are the main areas of this course.

Eligibility

Applicants must have passed the SLC/SEE exam in the Second Division or with at least a “C” Grade to be eligible for admission.

Applicants must have a “C” Grade in each subject and an aggregate C+ (2.4 GPA) in I. Sc. Science, 10+2 (Science), 10+2 (Plant Science/ Animal Science/ Forest Science), I. Sc. Ag., I. Sc. Vet., I. Sc. Forestry to face the entrance examination of BSc. Ag. Program.

Applicants must have completed at least 50 full marks in Mathematics and Physics, as well as 100 full marks in Biology, Chemistry, and English, to be eligible for the entrance examination.

The examinee must secure at least 50% entrance exam score.

 

Course Duration: 4-years, 8-semesters
