Institute of Forestry (IOF, TU)

The Institute of Forestry (IOF) is the only one first institute in Nepal totally based on education and training in Forestry and Natural Resource Management System.

IOF takes an entrance examination once a year for the enrolment of students for the Bachelor of Forestry, an Undergraduate Program. To pass the entrance exam conducted by IOF (TU) is mandatory to be admitted to its colleges.

The details about the entrance examination are summarized here below:

Eligibility

Eligibility to take the entrance examination of BSc. Forestry in TU, IOF, Pokhara and Hetauda Campus.

Eligibility

Applicants must have passed the SLC/SEE exam in the Second Division or with at least a “C” Grade to be eligible for admission.

Applicants must have a “C” Grade in each subject and an aggregate C+ (2.4 GPA) in I. Sc. Science or 10+2 (Science), 10+2 (Plant Science/ Animal Science/ Forest Science), I. Sc. Ag., I. Sc. Vet., I. Sc. Forestry to face the entrance examination of BSc. Forestry program.

Applicants must have completed at least 50 full marks in Mathematics and Physics, as well as 100 full marks in Biology, Chemistry, and English, to be eligible for entrance examination.

Examinee must secure at least 40% entrance exam score
